The author supplied an image featuring a family crest, which he wanted to use on the cover. I felt the individual elements of the crest were disconnected, repositioning them created a more cohesive design.
Author's Concept
The crest was modelled in Lightwave and the lion sculpted in zBrush. The elements were then combined in Photoshop.
